I have been running a nonprofit Figma design community for more than eight years. Rather than treating it as a one-off event led by one person, I operate it with a group of people as an ongoing, sustainable service. The community is supported by the interest of thousands of members and by tech companies including Figma. Nearly every event sells out on the day registration opens.
I started with a Facebook Figma community and, over a long period, worked with wonderful people as it became Friends of Figma. I now serve as a leader of Friends of Figma Seoul.
I have personally hosted more than 20 community meetups, large and small, in Korea and abroad, and spoken at even more community events. Along the way I have remained active in the community, exchanging positive energy and insight with people across the industry.
